This picture does not do justice to the beauty of this temple. While I was there, a full procession came up the mountain to answer the ringing of the temple bell, which is more like a loud gong. The structure in front of the entrance is an icon where worshippers light incense, raise their incense in honor of the god they worship, and then place their incense sticks in the vessel to burn while they enter the temple for services or to pray. Canon EOS-3, 28-70 f2.8 L, Kodak Supra 400, exposure not remembered. |
